About The Event

The new production at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane promises to be even more spectacular than ever before, starring Rowan Atkinson as Fagin, a cast and orchestra of over one hundred and an exciting new Nancy and Oliver - with BBC Television's I'd Do Anything winner Jodie Prenger as Nancy. The sensational score is full of Lionel Bart’s irresistible songs including Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You've Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I'd Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah, As Long As He Needs Me and many more.

The musical is directed by Rupert Goold, based on Sam Mendes' 1994 staging, along with co-director and choreographer Matthew Bourne. It is designed by Anthony Ward; lighting by Paule Constable and sound is by Paul Groothuis, with orchestrations by William D Brohn and musical supervision by Martin Koch. It is produced by Cameron Mackintosh in association with the Southbrook Group Limited.

The 1994 London Palladium production of "OLIVER!" played 1,366 performances over three years and grossed more than £40 million at the box office breaking the then record for the longest run at that theatre.

Please Note : Rowan Atkinson will be on holiday from Thursday 26th March until Saturday 5th April 2009.

The appearance of any particular cast member cannot be guaranteed at any particular performance. You are advised that any appearance scheduled could be changed due to unforeseen circumstances.

A Message from Cameron Mackintosh Ltd

As performances do not commence until 12 December, we do not yet have a full confirmed performance schedule for Nancy and Oliver.

Due to licensing issues we cannot decide which Oliver will perform until shortly before the performance starts.

Sickness and holiday permitting, we have decided that the winning Nancy, Jodie Prenger, is scheduled to perform on Monday and Tuesday evenings, Wednesday matinees, Friday evenings and Saturday matinees and evenings. Until the show opens in December we cannot make a final decision on any additional performances.
