About The Event
Set on the Upper East side of Manhattan, in a Fifth Avenue apartment an art dealing couple are visited by a stranger in the night who claims to be a friend of their children.
The young man, Paul soon starts up another con against a young man and his girlfriend resulting in the young man giving Paul all of his savings.
The plot is based on a real life story of David Hampton, a con man who managed to convince a number of people in the 1980's that he was the son of Sidney Poitier.
It's sharp and funny in a New York wise cracking kind of way and poses the question - who's conning you?
