About The Event
CHICAGO is now in its 10th sensational year in London, and is now the longest running revival in West End theatre history.
"Still London's sexiest, most sensational musical" Sunday Express, December 2007
Having just celebrated 10 glittering years in the West End the smash-hit musical CHICAGO continues to dazzle audiences night after night. Already the longest running American musical ever to play in London, this multi-award winning production is filled with stunning and unique choreography inspired by Bob Fosse and a sizzling score that includes the classics All That Jazz and Cell Block Tango. It is no wonder The Times calls it "The sharpest, slickest show on the block".
A nightclub dancer... a smooth-talking lawyer... and a cell block of sin; it would be a crime to miss it!
Nightclub dancer, Roxie Hart, kills her lover and lands in Cook County Jail. She meets cell block rival Velma Kelly and, with the help of smooth-talking lawyer Billy Flynn, they vie not only for the headlines but also to keep from death row.
Created by the musical theatre talents of John Kander, Fred Ebb and legendary choreographer, Bob Fosse, CHICAGO's sexy, sassy score includes the hits "All That Jazz", "Roxie", "Cell Block Tango" and "Razzle Dazzle".
Greed, Corruption, Exploitation, Adultery, Treachery... and now Jerry Springer joins the cast of the West End production of CHICAGO until 11th July 2009.
Already one of London's most popular and thrilling smash-hit musicals. CHICAGO continues to be hot, hot, hot!
Now the Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, record producer and actress Michelle Williams makes her London stage debut as Roxie Hart.
Michelle rose to fame as one third of Destiny’s Child. Together with Beyoncé Knowles and Kelly Rowland they are the top-selling female group of all time
Following the release of her own chart-topping debut album in 2002 Michelle Williams then went on to make her stage debut in the title role of Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida. She subsequently starred in the award-winning musical The Color Purple in Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
